My First Day - What to do?

Welcome to the Citrus Team!

Congratulations on becoming a valued member of our team! As you prepare for your first official shift, here's everything you need to know to get started smoothly and confidently.

What to Wear?

For your first shifts, we kindly ask you to wear a plain black top/shirt and black trousers while on site. Once you’ve successfully completed your probationary period, you will be issued with your Citrus uniform.

Important Notes:

  • Always ensure you look professional and presentable while on shift.
  • Tracksuit bottoms, small tank tops, or other overly casual attire are not permitted.
  • Comfortable, clean, and closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety and practicality.

A Warm Welcome

On your first shift, one of our friendly Mobile Supervisors will meet you on-site. They’ll:

  • Show you around your workspace.
  • Provide a briefing on your duties and responsibilities.
  • Answer any questions you might have.

If your supervisor isn’t immediately visible upon arrival, don’t worry—they might be stuck in traffic or waiting in another part of the site. Simply give us a call at 02393 600003, and we’ll assist you right away.

Timekeeping

Punctuality is essential, and we’ve made it easy for you to keep track of your shifts with the Timegate app. Using this app, you’ll be able to clock in and clock out with just a few taps.

Getting Started:

  1. Ensure you’ve downloaded the Timegate app (available on Android and iOS).
  2. Use the login details sent to you prior to your first shift.
  3. For any login issues:
    • Speak with your Mobile Supervisor.
    • Troubleshoot the problem HERE.
    • Contact our office for support at 02393 600003.

Tip: Make it a habit to check your app before and after your shifts to avoid any time discrepancies.

Keys & Alarms

If your site requires keys for access, you’ll be issued a set on your first day. You’ll also receive training on:

  • Locking and unlocking the site.
  • Activating and deactivating alarms.
  • Any additional security protocols specific to your location.
  • Make sure you keep these keys safe as they are your responsibility

Important Reminder: Always double-check that alarms are properly set when leaving the site, as security is a top priority.

Health & Safety

Your safety is important to us. On your first day, your Mobile Supervisor will cover key health and safety protocols, including:

  • Emergency exits and evacuation procedures.
  • Reporting hazards or incidents.
  • Safe handling of equipment and cleaning products.

If you notice anything unsafe or have concerns, please report them immediately to your supervisor or the helpdesk.

Communication Is Key

We want you to feel supported from day one! If you have questions or need assistance at any time, don’t hesitate to reach out.
