I think iv been under paid

How to Guide: What to Do If You Think You’ve Been Underpaid

If you believe there has been an error with your pay, follow these steps to resolve the issue promptly and effectively:

Step 1: Understand the Pay Period

  1. Know the pay period:
    • Our pay period runs from the 22nd of each month to the 21st of the following month.
    • Payment is made on the last working day of the month.

  2. Check whether all your hours fall within this period:
    • Ensure any hours or shifts worked after the 21st are accounted for in the next pay cycle.

Step 2: Review Your Payslip

  1. Check your payslip details:
    • Confirm the payment period and ensure it matches your work schedule.
    • Review deductions, overtime, bonuses, or commissions to ensure they are accurately reflected.
  2. Compare with your contract:
    • Ensure your hourly rate, overtime rate, and any additional entitlements align with your employment contract.

Step 3: Gather Supporting Evidence

  1. Record discrepancies:
    • Note the specific amount you believe is missing and the reason (e.g., incorrect overtime or missing bonus).
    • We only pay you from what hours we have on Timegate.
    • We will not round up hours, if your contact times are 2 hours and you work 1.55 then you will be paid 1 hour 55 mins only.

  2. Keep supporting documents:
    • Timesheets, rotas, or other records confirming the hours or shifts you worked.
    • Copies of previous payslips for comparison, if applicable.
    • We will ask you to send in a list of the hours you believe you are missing.

Step 4: Contact Your Manager or Payroll Team

  1. Speak to your manager or supervisor:
    • Politely raise the issue and provide specific details.
    • Example: “I’ve noticed a possible issue with my pay for the period of [date to date]. Could you help me verify this?” via [email protected]

By following these steps, we aim to ensure any discrepancies are resolved efficiently and with minimal stress. Always feel free to ask questions if you’re unsure!
